🦻 New Course Launch: Hearing Conservation in the Workplace
A full day of essential training, equipment insight, and hearing health support
Industry Training Works is excited to announce the launch of our new Hearing Conservation in the Workplace course — a comprehensive, practical offering designed to help you manage noise hazards and support your team’s long-term hearing health.
This full-day event includes a 4-hour morning seminar, followed by an interactive afternoon session featuring demonstrations of hearing protection equipment and access to audiometric (hearing) testing.
Morning Seminar (4 Hours):
Participants will complete NZQA Unit Standard 17594 – Demonstrate knowledge of hearing conservation in the workplace. This session covers:
- ✔️ Legislative requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- ✔️ Identifying noise hazards and understanding their impacts
- ✔️ Developing and maintaining a workplace hearing conservation programme
- ✔️ Responsibilities of employers and employees
Afternoon Practical Session:
Following the seminar, join us for a hands-on afternoon where participants can:
- ✔️ View demonstrations of a variety of hearing protection equipment
- ✔️ Learn about proper selection, fitting, and maintenance of PPE
- ✔️ Take part in audiometric testing (hearing checks) with our Occupational Health team (bookings essential)
- ✔️ Discuss real-world implementation strategies and ask our experts questions
This dual-format course ensures your team gains both the knowledge and practical experience to create safer, healthier workplaces when it comes to managing noise exposure.
