LOCKOUT AND REINSTATE MACHINERY IN THE WORKPLACE

GAIN THE SKILLS TO SAFELY LOCKOUT AND REINSTATE MACHINERY INCLUDING USING A PERMIT TO WORK LOCKOUT STATION.

This course covers the purpose of machinery lockout and tagout, which lockout and tagout procedures to apply, lockout devices and their primary purpose and staff responsibilities in terms of machinery lockout. It is about the safety of the people undertaking the tasks.

Our course covers both theory and practical in our purpose-built training facility to provide realistic scenario experiences. We will train you through a simulated lockout and tagout procedure using our purpose-built Permit to Work Station. We can customise the course to your workplace, as well as deliver it on your site.

Participants finish the course being able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of machinery lockout and reinstatement in the workplace.
  • Lockout machinery in the workplace.
  • Reinstate machinery in the workplace.
  • Describe the responsibilities and duties of staff under lockout procedures.
  • Identify hazards and controls within the scope of the task.
  • Identify machinery to which lockout procedures apply.
  • Use lockout procedures.
