Breathing Apparatus For Emergencies
BREATHING APPARATUS FOR GENERAL EMERGENCIES
Ensuring you and your team are confident in emergency situations when working with breathing apparatus equipment.
This course is for workers that need to undertake emergency rescues while wearing Breathing Apparatus (CABA). This includes emergency response groups and on-site firefighting crews required to act prior to additional support arriving. The course considers work in non-respirable environments such as ammonia, wastewater, limited fire attack and other hazardous situations.
Our training builds confidence and provides participants with the knowledge and skill to safely use the equipment.
- Learn the physiology of respiration,
- See different types of apparatus, how these function and safe working procedures.
- Experience simulations for rescue situations. These may involve evaluation of hazards and risks, search protocols, victim assessment, extraction techniques, effective decision making, and the teamwork required for a rescue.
We can tailor a course to meet the needs and requirements of your workplace.
This course covers use of CABA for limited fire attack.
