New One-Day Gas Testing Course Launches – US 25510 Includes Optional Energy Sector Unit Standard (US 3058 – expiring)
We are pleased to introduce a new one-day Gas Testing course designed to support workers across a range of industries where atmospheric testing is essential to ensure safe working conditions.
The course is built around Unit Standard 25510 – Operate an atmospheric testing device to determine a suitable atmosphere for work. It provides learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to competently use gas detection equipment, interpret readings, and understand the importance of continuous atmospheric monitoring in potentially hazardous environments.
Unit Standard 3058 expiring (optional) is also available with this training if required. We are currently working on the replacement Skills Standard (40371) which will be available once approved.
This course covers key topics such as:
- Understanding gas types and associated risks
- Pre-use inspection and calibration of gas detectors
- Conducting tests and interpreting results
- Responding to abnormal or unsafe readings
- Reporting and documentation
Whether undertaken as part of compliance obligations or workplace safety programmes, this course supports safer work environments by ensuring personnel are equipped to identify and manage atmospheric hazards effectively.
