Safe Working at Heights

Course Overview

Our height safety training programme comprises two levels and this course is the introduction to height safety. It will suit people who may be responsible for others who work at heights and/or for those who may have to work at heights themselves.

This course is theory based and concentrates on height hazards and risk management. We cover the Health and safety Legislation relating to heights work, definitions and standards, responsibilities of all parties, systems for work at heights PPE and emergency planning.

advanced heights 

Course Overview

This 2 day Heights Training programme is a mixed theory and practical based course and looks specifically at understanding heights and height hazards, using fall arrest systems while working at heights. It provides participants with the practical knowledge and skills to correctly approach working at heights for building, construction sites and general industry site.

This height safety training provides the knowledge to identify the different types of fall arrest systems employed on building and construction sites, and apply the appropriate controls for compliance with relevant Acts and legislation, combining industry best practices.

Participants will learn to identify and maintain height work equipment and fall arrest systems; identify and construct anchor points for fall arrest systems; employ fall arrest systems in a commercial environment; and plan rescue techniques and emergency procedures for working at height when using fall arrest systems.

The height safety training programme is designed for those who may be responsible for or who may perform work at heights.

Heights Refresher Half Day

Course Overview

Refresher training is a way for Employers and workplaces to have confidence that people with key industry skills sets are current and up to date.

Our refresher course will focus on the key components of heights safety and harness use. We can deliver a full or half day course depending on your requirements and issue a ‘Refresher’ certificate to confirm that relevant content has been covered.

Course Overview

Industry training Works delivers Combined Height Safety refresher training to meet best practice guidelines.  This refresher course assesses the attendee’s level of knowledge and competency against standards, and updates them with current industry best practice.

To ensure they are using harness’s correct, identify and maintain height work equipment and fall arrest systems; identify and construct anchor points for fall arrest systems; employ fall arrest systems in a commercial environment; and plan rescue techniques and emergency procedures for working at height when using fall arrest systems.
