Your trainer is a subject matter expert in all aspects of mapping and a senior qualified surveyor with extensive experience in land, hydrographic and aerial surveying, offering extensive real-world experience and an engaging, practical approach to learning. Learners will gain hands-on skills in:

  • Reading and interpreting maps – including topographical, aerial, vegetation, and road maps

  • Identifying key features – such as ridges, streams, power lines, and wāhi tapu sites

  • Applying modern technology – from drone footage to mobile apps to improve decision-making, efficiency, and safety
